Step One
Many people have no idea what to expect on their first visit to a chiropractor. This brief explanation will hopefully help to relieve any anxiety you may have.

Step Two
If it has been determined that a spinal misalignment is present in the upper cervical spine, very specific three dimensional X–ray films are taken. The analysis of these films calculates a precise, customized adjustment that will impact the whole spine.

Step Three
The upper cervical adjustment itself is performed to the upper neck and typically feels completely painless with a light drop to the table. The amount of pressure is just enough to slightly dimple the skin. There is NO cracking or twisting of the neck or spine in the upper cervical adjustment.

What’s Next?
Once the initial adjustment is made, a follow up visit will be one week following the first correction to determine if the adjustment has held. Further adjusting will be necessary if proper structural balance was not achieved.
Since each individual has a unique history and postural imbalance, follow-up care will be discussed on the visit following the initial adjustment. This upper cervical specific chiropractic care approach has helped numerous people with various conditions. At Turning Point Chiropractic, we do not treat a specific disease or condition. By restoring proper body balance, the body itself minimizes or heals the disease or condition.
